Maria Miles was born in Jamaica, and she is the proud mother of two wonderful children. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling. Her life’s work has been dedicated to helping others heal, find their voice, and move forward from trauma.

Over the years, She has had the privilege of counseling victims of sex trafficking, domestic violence, child abuse, and substance abuse. She worked with children in foster care and served as a Family Engagement Specialist, helping them navigate some of the most challenging times in their lives. She had also led support groups focused on recovery and empowerment, offering a safe space for survivors to heal and grow.

Currently, She serve as a Victim Witness Advocate, continuing her mission to stand with those affected by crime and injustice. Her professional journey has included roles as a Lead Case Manager at a domestic violence shelter and as a Sexual Violence Service Advocate, each one deepening her understanding of the strength and resilience found in even the darkest moments.
